PARIS, Texas. — Pvt. Bluford B. Johnson, son of Mrs. E. T. Trapp of Cooper, has been transferred from Fort Sam Houston to Camp McCoy, Wisc. His wife, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Anderson, will join him soon.

Pfc. Bluford B. Johnson entered service April 17, 1942. Sailed for Northern Ireland in September 1943. Thence to England, and to France in June. Died in Belgium February 8th, 1945 of wounds received in action. Pfc. Bluford B. Johnson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Trapp.

D. T. Johnson (son of Larkin B. and Hattie E. Johnson) and Bertha Lee Doolin Johnson (daughter of John A. and Polly M. Dollin) married in Delta County Texas on 4 September 1910. Together, their children are Bluford B. Johnson; Milton A. Johnson; Iva Lee Johnson. Finding Mrs. B. L. Johnson widowed in the 1920 Census, suspect that David T. Johnson died aft. June 1917. David T. Johnson born 18 March 1888 in Cooper, Delta County, Texas registers for the World War I draft registration, in Garza County, Texas on 5 June 1917.
27 April 1920, Eugene T. Trapp married Bertha Lee Doolin Johnson in Delta County, Texas. Their children are, a daughter Margaret Louise Trapp and a son, Eugene Thomas Trapp.

Pfc. Bluford B. Johnson died in Belgium Feb. 8th of wounds received in action, according to a telegram received by his wife in Paris Feb. 22, from the Secretary of War.
Pfc. Johnson entered the Army April 17, 1942. He received his basic training at Camp Wolters and was transferred from there to the 23rd Infantry of the Second Infantry Division and went overseas with the unit in October, 1943.
He went into combat June 7th and had been in action since that time. He had been awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Ex-Combat Infantryman's badge for being able to hold while under heavy attack by the enemy.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his parents, grandparents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ray A. Kennemer and Mrs. Carl McMillan of Cooper; Cpl. Milton A. Johnson of Camp Stoneman Calif., and Eugene T. Trapp of Paris.
