Pearl Terrell was born April 1873 in Delta County, Texas. She was the youngest of 11 children in the family
of Zachariah Richard "Dick" Terrell and Hero Caroline Steen Terrell.
She married A. Seth Carpenter on the 27th of April 1889 in Delta County. Later, she remarried Frank Kemp and had two daughters, Mamie and Nina Kemp.
