COOPER. — An incorporated town in Delta County, of which it is the judicial seat, 335 miles northeast of Austin, 19 northwest of Sulphur Springs, the nearest railroad station and banking point, and 10 miles from Ben Franklin, the nearest railroad station. It contains good hotels, 2 churches and a school and 2 weekly newspapers, the Courier and the Boomer. Population, 800. Mail, daily. C. V. Rattan, postmaster.
