MOUNT JOY. — A postoffice in Delta County, 344 miles northeast of Austin, 9 1/2 miles northeast of Cooper, the county seat, and 18 south of Paris, the nearest railroad and banking point. It contains 3 steam cotton gins, a grist mill and a shingle factory. Stages daily to Cooper; fare, $2. Population, 100. Mail, daily. W. R. Brigman, postmaster.
