Clark, Rowland - and Lucinda Lesley Family - submitted by John J. Hansen

Rowland Clark came to Carroll County as a young man with his parents, John C. Clark and family .  He married Lucinda Lesley in 1838 and is registered in the County Marriage Book.  Rowland lived his life in Carroll County. (read complete bio...)

Smith, William James - and Nancy Jane Clark Family - submitted by John J. Hansen

    William Smith appeared in Carroll County during the Civil War.  Family history says that he was born in Carrollton in 1845, however records earlier than the Civil War cannot be found to date.  William Married Nancy Jane Clark, of the Clark family that had been in Carroll County since 1838.  Nancy is buried in the Blackhawk Cemetery.  William moved to Texas in about 1892, and subsequently to Canadian County Oklahoma where he lived out his life..
