I am looking for siblings and ancestors of Andrew SANDBERG and Metta JENSEN (Hatta Jenson). They are buried in Fargo. "Andy the Swede" and his wife had a daughter, Emma Albina Sandberg, my great grandmother, who was born in Peru, Illinois, March 1, 1894. The other children were Frank Sandberg, Hilma Johnson, Louise Griffith, and John Sandberg. Andrew Sandberg was reportedly born in Sweden and his wife Metta (may have been called Hattie) was from Arhus, Denmark.
Emma Albina Sandberg married George Burman, and my grandmother Hazel Helen Burman was born in Moorehead, Minn. George Burman was the son of Margaret "Maggie" McKernan and Abner Allen Burman. Maggie was the daughter of William McKernan and Elizabeth Guinea (family from Dublin, Ireland). Abner Allen Burman was the son of Charles Edwin Burman.
Hilma Sandberg married a Johnson. Louise Sandberg married a Griffith. Andrew Sandberg served in the elected office of county commissioner. I initially thought in Moorehead but maybe in Fargo. I would appreciate any reference to county records.
Please inform me if you know of Alfred Sandberg (1880-1947), Andrew Sandberg (1867-1953), Lillian Emily Sandberg (1881-1931), Hatta Jenson (1880-1947). If I do not reply to your e-mail, it means I did not get it. Thanks.

Clayton Hurd was the son of my ggAunt Clarissa Kenyon Hurd. When her estate was settled in 1886, Clayton was listed as being in Page City, Cass Co., North Dakato Territory. We have no information except that he was born in 1840 in New York State, was here in 1850 and then he and his father disappear from all our records. Does anyone know of him or what happened after 1886? Any info appreciated. I am researching Kenyon lines and any that marry into this line. Thanks.

I am reposting my interest as my e-mail address has changed. I am STILL trying to locate any descendants of George D.HACKNEY and his wife, Barbara CHALMERS Hackney. I found a Barbara Hackney on the 1885 Dakota Territory Census. She was listed as age 15, a seamstress born in Canada. She was living in Tower City. She is believed to be one of the daughters. I believe that if this is the daughter of George & Barbara, she died in 1886. Other children would have been: George Chalmers,Annie,Catherine, William, Wilbert, Margaret (Maggie), Thomas, Matthew, Christina, Evangeline(Lilly), Ida Lena and Edward. There was also Arthur born 05 Jan 1886 but he may have been the son of Barbara who was listed on the 1885 census. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a Belyia that married an Ida, Mattie, or Lewella Austin from Michigan, dau of Jeddiah and Mary Catherine Burgess Austin, Osceola Cnty. Mr Belyia might be a Dr., but then family tale has it the Lewella was the Dr. We place this couple in Fargo, ND sometime between 1880 and the 1940's. She is referenced in 1889 as visiting her sister in Michigan, referenced in two obits, 1944 and 1946. It is possible the "Mr" Belyia died and Lewella remarried a brother of her sisters husband, or maybe even her brother-in-law if her sister died young. It might even be possible the there are two sisters, Ida and Lewella, one marries Belyia and the other married Arnold. We have reached a brick-wall on this, so if anyone can identify this Belyia spouse we might be able to go forward. Thanks, Val dignity@cet.com

Frederick William Steinke may also be buried in Fargo, North Dakota (Cass County). I would like to find out if there are any cemetery transcriptions for this county that list a Fred (Frederick) Steinke. Frederick William Steinke was born July 13, 1879 and died March 24,1949. He married to a woman whose name was Mary ???. No idea what her maiden name was. Frederick and Mary had two children. A son whose name was Leonard Carl Steinke, who married and had a son whose name was Carl Steinke. Frederick also had a daughter whose name was Eva Louise Steinke. I have no idea who Eva Louise married to. I have found that Frederick possibly lived in Barnesville, Minnesota in 1930 according to a newspaper obit on his mother, Emma Christina (Schroeder) Steinke. Frederick Steinke's father was Julius August Gustav Steinke and he died in 1934 at the home of his daughter Helen (Steinke) Rinderknecht. If anyone has or is able to obtain any information on this line for me it would be more than appreciated. I have hardly anything on this line and would love to fill in some blanks. I have no idea what cemetery Frederick may be buried in and would love to also find that out. Thanks from the heart ! in! ! advance. Suzanne FIDDLINSUE@aol.com
