Juna Mosadis Allen, b. 6-10-1910 in Fargo, ND. Parents listed as Francis Allen, 33, MI, and Susie Mae Hill, 23, MN, on a Fargo, ND birth certificate #100. (later adopted & named Wanda Rebecca Wilton) The state initials (MI & MN) worry me. Usually in 1910 the state was spelled out. Can anyone check to see if the original certificate exists ? My copy may have been altered. Thanks!

Many years ago an old aunt gave me an album with more than 20 photos of our relatives "over there". Six of these photos were related to Fargo, N.D. Five of my fathers aunts and uncles from Drammen, Buskerud county, Norway, left for America between 1870 and 1885. One of them were Netta Emilie Thomassen, born 13 Jan 1851. She left Christiania 12 July 1872 on ship "Hero" for Chicago, where she married first time. 22 Nov 1882 she was married second time in Cook county, Ill. to John (Johannes Olsen) Olstad. They moved to Fargo, and the 1900 census tells they were farming in Pleasant township with children Hjalmar, Anna, Sadie and Oscar. Nettie Olstad's two girls of first marriage, Minnie and Nora lived in Davenport township, Minnie married to Jergen Adsero.
One of the photos I have show Nettie and her beautiful family. I have identified some of them, but would like to know who the others were.
Are there any descendants of John and Nettie Olstad living in Cass county that might be interested in this query?
Kind regards, Egil Thomassen

Hello- I am hoping that someone out there can help me with the HUGE brickwall that I can not seem to knock down. My great grandfather, Blaine Guy Gardner, was born Sept. 23, 1884 in Fargo, ND (according to his death cert. and obit) and died Nov. 20, 1961 in St. Joseph, MO (fact). He married Margaret Amelia Petersen/Peterson in Iowa. (Can't find him in Iowa either!) They had 3 children: Clifford b. 1910 in Iowa, Blaine T. b. 1912 in ? and Leroy G (my grandfather) b. 1917 in Omaha NE. All died in St. Joe MO. The problem I am having is that I cannot find anything about Blaine or his parents! According to his death cert. his parents are "unknown" (great!) and he does not have a SS#! Now, according to the 1920 and 1930 census reports Blaine says that he was born in SOUTH Dakota. I have checked the birth records in S. Dakota and have found nothing. Cannot find Blaine anywhere!! Does anyone happen to know if he is in your tree somewhere..., or what else I could do to find him? Thanks- Shelly (Gardner) Saxton
