        Letter from Lilly Barry, Mary's mother--A very nostalgic letter, as the recipient, my grandmother
        Stella Brown McKisick's older sister, died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of sixteen just one
        month after this letter was written. Mary Wingfield McKisick was at Sacred Heart boarding school
        in Waco at the time.

        Babe Greer as teacher in 1868--an article from the Meridian Tribune of 18 FEB
        1949. It was written by a cousin of mine about my great-grandfather's teaching
        experience in 1868. The folks involved lived in Bosque Co, but my ggf was
        temporarily living (and teaching) across the Brazos in Hill Co. A few Bosque Co.
        kids would cross the river to attend class with him.

      For those in Bosque County who may have lost their handed-down recipe from
      Dr. Mathis for his salve.  Don't know exactly when he was there but in several
      letters written by Lucy Wilm of Morgan in 1903-4 he was mentioned as being
      their doctor.
