Looking for any info on Lafayette HADLEY and his first wife Marinda Chapins. Marinda died in Fargo in September 1880. Lafayette then married Katie Irene Sedgwick in Fargo in 1881 (any info on Katie would be appreciated, also). They had two sons born in Fargo, James G. Blaine Hadley and Phillip H. Sheridan Hadly. Lafayette supposedly owned a livery stable in Fargo in 1888. They moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1889 or 1890.

I have a photo of Charles & Mary Warner & their children Jane E., Ernest, Hattie & one unknown son. It was taken in Cassleton, ND. I am interested in finding out when they were there. Birthdates are: Charles b. 1853 NY, Mary 1857 IL, Jane 1877, Ernest 1878, & Hattie 1880. The children were probably born in MN but could also have been born in ND.

Could someone tell me whether the CAREL 133, indexed in Vol 1 of North- half of the cemetery transcription is Ellen A. Carel.
My ancestor Miles Edgar Scott took out a marriage license with Ellen A. Carel, March 7, 1901,but it was never returned. I am trying to determine whether she died prior to the marriage.
Miles next appears in the 1906 census in Alberta with a wife Millie, and his children from a prior marriage. I am trying to determine Millie's surname.
Thanks for any help.

I am looking for present day relatives living in or near Cass County, North Dakota. My grandfather was Clarence T. Emerson (anglicized from Embertson), born in Fargo, North Dakota in January, 1889. I'm not sure if his parents were born in Iowa or Norway, but I believe his father's name was Embert Embertson/Embretson. I have very little information on him, where he was born, why he died so young, and if he had any other wives/childdren. He is a mystery. I do know he was a sign painter, and that the Larson family was linked with ours (Peter Larson?). My grandmother was Bessie Schull (b. Bessie Arnold), and I don't believe they were married long. They had one child, my mother, Mickey Emerson, who passed away in 1988. I would love to talk to someone who knew of Clarence and/or his line of the family. Thanks very much!
