Please keep in mind that not all things in print are 100% accurate.
As was often the case, history books were skewed by the opinion
of the author. In the case of biographies, two things should
be kept in mind. Usually, biographies are included in history
books for a fee and they depict the person or family as they
want to be perceived, not necessarily including all facts, especially
omitting non-flattering facts.

ABOUT THE USGW PROJECT
Modeled after the Kentucky GenWeb Project which was organized by a group of genealogists in March and April 1996, the idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Kentucky, where collected databases would be stored. In June 1996, it was decided to expand the project to include all states.
